Registration Info

The location will be on the Corner of Main St and University Street (Rice University). Sergio Banuet, the event sponsor, will be waiting there at 6 am.

Please click on the plus sign, the line will expand. Check the blank box 6:30am-10am and then scroll down to

provide your email address and your information. A t-shirt is given at the end of the race to every participating

volunteer, so you are requested to provide a t-shirt size.

A Road Guard is a volunteer assigned to “guard” a section of the road within the runners’ 42 km route. It implies making sure that the road section assigned to you is clean of debris (clothing, bottles, paper cups, and other pieces of trash). You’ll be provided with plastic bags to selectively place the items (clothing in one bag, trash in another). It also means making sure that the spectators stay off the road and do not interfere with the passing of the runners. Police officers are found in every corner to assist so the volunteer does not get involved directly in a controversial situation. Finally, it implies reporting to the police officers anything identified as suspicious that should demand their attention.
